It feels like many of the places we loved have disappeared. Born in the pandemic, Momento Coffee NYC was created to breathe life back into the city we love. Inspired by Northern Italy, Momento believes in quality over quantity, community over corporate – it’s where New Yorkers go to get coffee.
Our story
During the pandemic, a group of New York friends saw the lights of City dim, restaurants, bars and businesses closing, and they wanted to do something about it. The idea for Momento was born – a coffee shop that breathes life back into the city we love.

Momento offers an authentic Italian menu, superb coffee and a commitment to quality in an inviting, comfortable environment. Prepared by notable Italian pastry Chef, Alberto Marsoni (previously of Cipriani and San Pietro)
We pride ourselves on bringing the best coffee to New York City. Fresh Italian pastries and sandwiches are offered daily.
Our feeling is; becoming a Barista is a title that must be earned and requires continual education. Anyone can pour a beverage. Momento baristas pour an experience.
Our Values
Each location will speak to the local community. Staff will be hired locally whenever possible. Local artists, musicians and craftspeople will be invited to share their art. Momento Coffee & Bakery will be a gathering space for community.
